Another song from Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming just came out featuring Zola Jesus. This is without a doubt my most anticipated album of 2011. I assume this is the intro track to the double album dropping October 18 and it’s beautiful.
The Godess Florence has released the new single from her new album coming out in November. They’re recording it right now at Abbey Road and you can see/hear the 60’s vibe in this great preview.
Ladies and Gentleman, the first single off Fairytale’s (formerly Fairytale Production) first album, Real Men Don’t Read, is here. Real Men Don’t Read is dropping August 27th on Fairytale Production’s WEBSITE. Fairytale is one of the best hip-hop groups right now and I’ve been personally informed that this album will be DOPE. Enjoy.
Skrillex’s new song is pretty different from his usual stuff – and much grimier. It starts like a normal Skrillex song with the samples and then turns into a much more Borgorey type vibe. Either way, it’s worth a download. (I also just bought my ticket to The Mothership Tour in New Orleans with Skrillex, 12th Planet, Foreign Beggars and Nadastrom.)
Sorry, I happened to do my special dedication to The Weeknd in perfect timing for their newest mixtape. Oh and is that Drake coming in at the end of “The Zone”…I think so. Our saga of sex, drugs, and the young life continues on to this mixtape with similar themes as the last. CLICK THE PICTURE (ABOVE) TO DOWNLOAD!

R&B is something that I never got into. Sure, I listened to R. Kelly and laughed at Trapped in the Closet, but that’s about it. Recently, I feel like two R&B artists are emerging that have been catching my attention. Frank Ocean is one artist that has been getting bigger by being featured on The Throne and collaborations with OFWGKTA. The other artist is The Weeknd and I have bumping his shit all summer. You know an artist has some serious potential when there is an unofficial music video made with super models for an artist that has barely performed live and doesn’t have a record deal. Anyways, both these emerging artists have incredible voices, but The Weeknd’s lyrics truly stick out to me. Moreover, the production throughout his mixtape is phenomenal. It has heavy bass lines and an intense theme that sticks to you. If you don’t have the mixtape- CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD IT. Below is the unofficial video (sex), opening song to his first concert, and some of my favorites songs off the House of Balloons.
The German duo, Booka Shade, will transform any dance party to something that belongs on the moon. This isn’t heavy dubstep or trancy electronic…candy kids would probably turn their head away at first listen. I feel like these guys just vibe for hours in a much different type of dance environment. I definitely want to see them perform live considering that they actually perform and don’t just sit behind a computer and act like they are doing things.
Skizzy Mars has seriously crossed over to one of my favorite up and coming artists of this year. His flow has pretty consistent on his tracks and his beats have been on the alternative side, which I really like. Enjoy two more tracks from this kid- he’s got our respect for sure. I’m expecting big things…
SBTRKT has entered everyone’s radar after Wildfire dropped. I’ve listen to his album a few times and I’ve digged a few tracks, but I wasn’t impressed with the album as a whole. I do like his collaborations with Samph and I think they have potential to make some dope shit in the near future.
The past couple of days, Knife Party has exploded and I’m so so glad. I’d have to say I’m more excited about Knife Party than any other dubstep artists out there. These songs are ALL amazing and you should download them all. (Internet Friends is hilarious btw).
