Two releases from two of my very favorite acts, GOBBLE GOBBLE and Cloud Nothings. BEKO is a self proclaimed digital single label that has recently chosen GOBBLE GOBBLE for its 55th release. You can download it here or there, it’s all good. Didn’t You is the title of the single and 7″ that Cloud Nothings recently released. The two songs are available here and everywhere else on the internet, but everyone knows you don’t really got it till you got it on wax. the I’m a huge fan of Cloud Nothings. It’s amazing how intricate their simplicity can be, not that that makes any sense.

Everybody knows there is no sound in space so you have to bring your own tunes. Personally, I leave Swim to the Sun on repeat whilst traversing the cosmos. Backseat Dreamer has a really catchy new song called Consider. It’s nice and dancy, good synths, you’ll see. If you’ve been wondering where all the lo-fi garage fuzz went, check out Ghost Animal. More GOBLD GOLD in the form of a remix. This time it’s South Carolina native Persona La Ave. I stuck the original in there too so you can compare and contrast. Head over to Persona La Ave’s bandcamp for a free download if your into it.

Bassnectar dropped a new song, you know were all over it. If you have a chance see this guy live, hands down best performance i’ve ever seen. About the song: takes a bit to pick up but watch for Weezy in the background (dope)
Bassnectar: Massive Attack Remix
Never thought i would post a Limp Bizkit song but Eyes Dubstep touches up this song incredibly. This artist from London has serious talent. A powerful song that will lift spirits and crush negative vibes give it a listen
Limp Bizkit: Behind Blue Eyes (Eyes Remix)
Darwin Deez has one of the most unique sounds out right now. Haven’t posted them since Xaphoon remixed their song Radar Detector, but i enjoyed this song so figured you guys would as well
Darwin Deez: Up In The Clouds (Mr Flash Remix)
A funky sounding track that caught my ear, Skratch Bastid takes Crystal Castles and mixes them with Outkast and Raekwon…whattttt crazy right?
Skratch Bastid: Skewed Empathy (Crystal Castles vs. Outkast vs. Raekwon)
Emancipator reminds me of an electronic Explosions in the Sky. If you recall they mashed up Sigur Ros and Mobb Deep a few months back creating a truly unique piece. Im just getting into these guys so more to come in the future.
Emancipator: First Snow
To be honest I’m really not the biggest fan of this song, but figured since its Drake and Coldplay mashed up the masses would appreciate it. So this ones for you guys:
Drake vs. Coldplay: The Fly Scientist ft. Page Silver Medallion Chi Duly Mashup

It’s Father’s Day today and you know what that means, right? Club Bangers! Big Boi’s new single Shutterbug is absolutely infectious. You’ll probably listen to it the first time and be fine for a little but just wait, you’ll be demanding that it be played on repeat in every room you enter. Like A G6 by The Far East Movement will most likely have a similar effect. Who said I only like indie music?

Sorry for the massive delay in posting were still on the road to recovery from Bonnaroo, which was literally the best time of our lives. if any of you reading this get a chance to go do not hesitate; it is an experience of a life time. Shouts to the 7th Street crew
Our top 3 shows? Hands down: Bassnectar (click on the name to watch the madness we were 5 rows back), Deadmau5, and The Crystal Method. You may be asking why not Jay-Z and who the hell is Crystal Method. Don’t get me wrong Hova was sick, but after rolling out of Bassnectar at 2 am we saw and heard probably the craziest live show ive ever seen. The energy of the crowd was amazing even after the sun rose. Anyways enough typing, here is just a sample of what these guys sound like:
The Crystal Method feat Matisyahu: Drown In The Now
Ellie Goulding and dubstep cannot be a better match for each other. This track is just another example of why this UK princess is about to blow up in the states.
Ellie Goulding: Lights (Eyes Dubstep Remix)
Eyes Dubstep —> get familiar. It takes a bold dj to step up and make Jay’s Young Forever truly bounce but this guy could not have made this song sicker. Check it out for yourself:
Jay-Z: Young Forever (Eyes Dubstep Remix)
Being in a car for 15 hours allows you to really explore the depths of ones Ipod. I found this gem somewhere in Virginia. its a Hathbanger song that some how never got posted, so it goes.

Colin Caulfield is a twenty one year old from Chicago who makes music under the moniker, Young Man. Here is a link to his soundcloud page where you’ll find his 2010 album, Boy, in its entirety. Definitely have a listen to the songs below but I would really recommend listening to the half hour album all the way through. If Yeasayer and Animal Collective were to have a bastard love child, I think it might sound kind of like Everybody Yay. See if you agree. I found another song from Denver’s favorite husband and wife band, Tennis. Really great stuff. Now get to listening.

Hello friends. Molly Shannon, Molly Shannon is a must listen. There is something about these two tracks and the album they originate from that I am really drawn to. Find the link and see what you think. Pens has a new 7″ out now. I really like the Love Rules track from it. It’s a little eerie at times but mostly just happily hypnotic. Liars have a new EP called The Overachievers, here’s the title track. The EP also features a special guest cover from Devendra Banhart. It’s on iTunes if you’re diggin it. If you are in need of a simple feel good beat look no further than Mornin’ by Star Slinger. If yuo are in need of multiple beats of the sort then head over to Star Slinger’s website to download his brand new debut beat tape. It’s good stuff for sure, be sure to check out the Pass The Dutchie mix. GOBBLE GOBBLE strikes again. If you’re not feeling the GOBBLE, I have to apologize because I most certainly am. When you mix some Coma Cinema in there you know it’s gotta be good. That reminds me, Coma Cinema’s Stoned Alone is now available. If your car still plays cassettes get on this.

Sorry about the hiatus. Whensdays is back. Wavves is a band that people like to talk about. There 2009 album Wavvves gained acclaim from reputable critics. If you’ve never listened to them before, the new Cool Jumper single is awesome, check it out. If you have listened to them before, forget whatever preconceived notions you may have had and just listen. That’s all I’ll say about that. The next three songs are from a compilation put together by the evil mastermind behind GOBBLE GOBBLE. This little mixtape is as mind blowingly good as it is free, and it is sooooo free. Head over to LivingEars and get it, do it.(this is a link!) If me telling you wasn’t enough to convince you, just listen to the tracks. Last month, The Black Keys released their sixth studio album, not counting Blakroc, entitled Brothers. A good friend of mine suggested Sinister Kid as a good preview to album. This same friend also gave me a tip on an awesome Soul and R&B compilation album called Eccentric Soul. Here’s Johnson, Hawkins, Tatum, & Durr with a classic you’ve probably heard in form or another at some point.
