    2010 - 02.28

I figure with Broken Bell’s new album dropping in a little over 10 days, why not plug it with James Mercer’s (the lead singer) original  band The Shins to give you guys an idea of what B.B’s sound is all about. For more on the Broken Bells project click here.

(We would post more Broken Bells but due to copyright issues we’re pretty restricted in what we can post)

Anways, these are three songs off The Shins most recent album Wincing the Night Away.

    The Shins: Sea Legs

    The Shins: Split Needles

    The Shins: Australia

A few weeks back I got an email from a viewer who sent me these 4 fire tracks. I don’t have a name, but gotta thank him for sending me these gems. We started this site to not only share our music, but hear new music that our viewers listen to, so I encourage all of you to send us tracks.

Never heard of Grip Grand before this but his smooth rhymes on top of a solid beats makes this song.

Another unknown, Asamov comes in with the same idea and lays down a sick track. Theory Hazit reminds me of Masta Ace and produces a song similar to him with “Ghetto”. Finally Gudda Gudda lives up to his reputation with a nice flowing track with Nikki Minaj and Short Dawg.

Grip Grand feat. A.G.: Poppin Pockets (Remix)

Asamov feat. Mr Lif: Supa Dynamite

    Theory Hazit: Ghetto

Gudda Gudda feat. Nikki Minaj & Short Dawg: Always Love You

    Payin' the bills...

    Until Tomorrow

What up what upppp. Ellie Goulding is an up and coming performer out of the UK whose two eclectic electro-pop ballads Starry Eyed (dub-step flavored) and I’ll Hold My Breath have caught my ear this week. Her new album “Lights” drops March 1st. For more information click here.

Next up we have another Cut Copy remix this time by Moulinex who touches up Lights and Music extremely well to provide a nice stimulant to a late night dance party.

Proceeding this is Emancipator who takes two artists from opposite ends of the music spectrum with Sigur Ros vs. Mobb Deep and creates something truly unique with Shook. Lastly Gorilla Zoe comes in with a pretty standard but catchy remix of What is Love (shout out to Cam once again for another solid tune)

Ellie Goulding: Starry Eyed (Jakwob Remix)

Ellie Goulding: I’ll Hold My Breath

Cut Copy: Lights and Music (Moulinex Remix)

Emancipator: Shook (Mobb Deep vs. Sigur Ros)

    Gorilla Zoe: What Is Love

Here are two cool remixes of a band that will most likely be the next big thing in the game, Pretty Lights. If you have a chance see these guys live do it; one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. First one is with the man himself young weezy. Then we got Jay, Collie Budz and Snoop gettin into the mix for the second remix.

Lil Wayne vs. Pretty Lights: The Wayne Has Come

Jay-Z, Collie Budz and Snoop Dog vs. Pretty Lights: Finally Moving

Well they’re back at it again, this time with a hysterical music video that perfectly captures the life of not only a Middlebury College student, but i think college life at many small east coast schools in general. Click the link below to watch the video and help blow these guys up even more. Also check out their website link to watch behind the scenes footage from this awesome project.
